1. Summary
This policy explains what cookies are, the cookie we use, and how cookies from our payment processor apply when you subscribe. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember information between page loads, such as the fact that you are signed in. Similar technologies include local storage and tracking pixels; Edusodes does not use them for tracking.
3. Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
edusodes_session | Keeps you signed in and identifies your account on each request. It contains a cryptographically signed token, is marked HTTP-only so scripts cannot read it, and is only sent to edusodes.com. | Strictly necessary, first-party | 30 days, or until you sign out |
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent requirements because the Service cannot work without them. The cookie is only set when you sign in or create an account.
4. Third-party cookies
Pages on edusodes.com do not load third-party cookies. Fonts are served from our own domain and images are delivered through our own servers.
When you subscribe or manage billing, you are redirected to pages hosted by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe sets its own cookies on its domain for fraud prevention and to operate checkout. Those cookies are governed by Stripe’s cookie and privacy policies.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete cookies or block them in your browser settings. If you block the edusodes_session cookie, you will not be able to sign in, but the public pages of the website will continue to work. Signing out removes the cookie.
6. Changes
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, such as analytics, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
